Boarding
We offer a top-of-the-line boarding facility with indoor kennels, a climate-controlled environment, skilled caregivers and ready access to a doctor if needed. If your dog has never boarded before, it is recommended that you bring them in ahead of time so we can see how they will react to being in a run. All pets must be current on vaccines and have had a negative fecal exam in the last 12 months. We fill up fast for holidays and summer, so it is suggested that you make your reservation as soon as you know your dates.
BEDDING:
Every pet gets freshly laundered bedding each day. With the mountains of laundry we do every day, it is difficult to keep track of individual items, so we ask that you do not bring bedding items. If you do want to bring something, please be aware that it may NOT be returned.
TOYS:
We provide a variety of toys for both dogs and cats. Again, as with bedding, it is very hard to keep track of individually owned toys so, please, do not bring your pet's "favorite" toy. There is a very real likelihood that it could get lost. We make every effort possible to keep track of items but with the sheer quantity we deal with something is bound to get lost sooner or later.
FOOD:
We provide Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach dry food for dogs and cats. This is a food for pets with sensitive tummies or digestive disorders. Boarding is NOT the same as being at home and many dogs will develop "stress" diarrhea while boarding. While the prescription food does not always eliminate this, we find that it does help reduce the occurrence of diarrhea. If your pet is on a special diet, please bring their own food with instructions. We also provide treats so please advise the receptionists if your pet has any food allergies
FLEAS:
We have four pets who live at the clinic so we do not want to keep fleas as pets. We also do not think you would appreciate us sending any home with you. Therefore, it is our policy that every dog and cat who comes to board will be flea treated (we use Capstar). There is a one-time $7 charge for this. Please understand that to try to keep track of who used what flea preventative and whether or not it was properly applied would be a nightmare. That is why we have a blanket policy of flea treating all pets whether or not you use flea preventative at home. If you choose to have your pet groomed while boarding, the flea treatment is free!!
All kennels are scrubbed out every day. Dogs and cats are kenneled separately. At least twice a day, more if time permits, dogs are taken to the fenced-in yard for play time and eliminations.
Owners who elect to have their pet bathed while boarding will receive a $5.00 discount off their grooming charge.
